A clean rectangle, weighted at the brow. Designed for a client who wanted something plain and sturdy. Hand-finished in the studio and dimensioned to the wearer at fitting.
Every Beaumarchais is dimensioned to the wearer at the second sitting. The figures here describe the base draft, before fitting.
The first Beaumarchais was cut for a client who, in the studio's notes, wanted something plain and sturdy, and said so twice. We built the opposite of what he'd worn before.
The result favours the trapezoid line the studio keeps returning to: heavier where the eye expects weight, and light everywhere the skin meets the frame. It is cut in gunmetal, 22g finished, and fitted with a riveted steel hinge.
