A gentle cat-eye lift, drawn narrow enough to sit close to the face without reading as vintage. Hand-finished in the studio and dimensioned to the wearer at fitting.
Every Fontenoy is dimensioned to the wearer at the second sitting. The figures here describe the base draft, before fitting.
The first Fontenoy was cut for a client who, in the studio's notes, wanted the lift without the costume of it. We built the opposite of what he'd worn before.
The result favours the cateye line the studio keeps returning to: heavier where the eye expects weight, and light everywhere the skin meets the frame. It is cut in walnut acetate, 21g finished, and fitted with a 7-barrel brass hinge.
