A wide oval in warm amber acetate, cut for clients who want sun protection without losing the face. Hand-finished in the studio and dimensioned to the wearer at fitting.
Every Marchetti is dimensioned to the wearer at the second sitting. The figures here describe the base draft, before fitting.
The first Marchetti was cut for a client who, in the studio's notes, wanted sunglasses that still looked like her. We built the opposite of what he'd worn before.
The result favours the oval line the studio keeps returning to: heavier where the eye expects weight, and light everywhere the skin meets the frame. It is cut in amber gradient, 27g finished, and fitted with a 5-barrel brass hinge.
