Every Solange is dimensioned to the wearer at the second sitting. The figures here describe the base draft, before fitting.
The first Solange was cut for a client who, in the studio's notes, wanted a lens colour the shop didn't stock, so we mixed one. We built the opposite of what he'd worn before.
The result favours the round line the studio keeps returning to: heavier where the eye expects weight, and light everywhere the skin meets the frame. It is cut in black acetate, 25g finished, and fitted with a pinned acetate hinge.
