An unlined oval in a pale sand acetate. The studio's quietest frame, and its most requested. Hand-finished in the studio and dimensioned to the wearer at fitting.
Every Sablon is dimensioned to the wearer at the second sitting. The figures here describe the base draft, before fitting.
The first Sablon was cut for a client who, in the studio's notes, wanted a frame no one would notice, and everyone did. We built the opposite of what he'd worn before.
The result favours the oval line the studio keeps returning to: heavier where the eye expects weight, and light everywhere the skin meets the frame. It is cut in sand acetate, 18g finished, and fitted with a 5-barrel brass hinge.
