A trapezoid cut from vegetable-tanned horn, left with a visible grain rather than a high polish. Hand-finished in the studio and dimensioned to the wearer at fitting.
Every Tannery is dimensioned to the wearer at the second sitting. The figures here describe the base draft, before fitting.
The first Tannery was cut for a client who, in the studio's notes, wanted the grain left visible instead of polished away. We built the opposite of what he'd worn before.
The result favours the trapezoid line the studio keeps returning to: heavier where the eye expects weight, and light everywhere the skin meets the frame. It is cut in vegetable-tanned horn, 25g finished, and fitted with a pinned horn hinge.
